Overview

GC Series Plastic Mold End Mills Crafted for semi-finishing and finishing of plastic mold steels. Made from ultra-fine grain carbide with TiAlSiN coating, these end mills deliver stable cutting, excellent wear resistance, and long tool life.
4-Flute Corner Radius End Mills are ideal for cavity bottoms and side wall transitions. The radius edge design disperses cutting stress, improves chipping resistance, and delivers smoother surface transitions.

Substrate & Coating

  • Substrate: Ultrafine-grain carbide with a balanced combination of high hardness and toughness.
  • Coating: TiAlSiN nanocomposite coating — high surface hardness, excellent wear and high-temperature oxidation resistance, effectively extending tool life.

Cooling Recommendation

Optimized for air cooling or Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL); use flood coolant for heavy cuts. Dry cutting possible for short passes but not recommended long term.

  • Note: Not suitable for hardened steels exceeding HRC48 after heat treatment.
